(FOX40.COM) — A California Assembly member is requesting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife investigate the treatment of animals at a Sacramento County aquarium.
Assemblyman Josh Hoover, who represents the City of Folsom, sent a letter to CDFW director Charlton Bonham to launch an investigation into the operations at SeaQuest’s Folsom location.
An investigative report from ABC 10 caused concern within Hoover’s office about allegations of “substantial violations of animal welfare standards,” according to his letter.
